Henry Sunderland

Henry is a gnomologist who keeps things real with his great projects for kids and the Christchurch community.

 

On 4th Feb 1977 he stood at the Geographical South Pole with Charlie the garden gnome. The first garden gnome to make it to the south pole. Since then Henry has travelled with and sent garden gnomes around the World. Henry coined the term GNOME stagnating for Guarding Naturally Over Mother Earth.

 

He likes to break boundaries and gives lectures and talks on lateral/creative thinking "PEOPLE BEFORE SYSTEMS" is his motto.

 

Henry is currently teaching art and design at CPIT, Christchurch.
